　"DRE Novels" has announced at the anime convention "Anime NYC" that it will be releasing the upcoming title "BLADE & BASTARD: Warm ash, Dusky dungeon" in both Japanese and English simultaneously. The English translation version will be distributed electronically through J-Novel Club.
　DRE Novels and J-Novel Club will be working together releasing other title in both Japanese and English at the same time, and "BLADE & BASTARD" marks to be the first titles to do so.

When I first played Wizardry, the series was already renowned as the legendary RPG title. For me, it was like venturing into the dungeon with awe, while following the trails of my predecessors. This title includes many of my personal perspectives on how I see the dungeon. For those seasoned adventurers, just brush it off as a tale of an inexperienced adventurer. Few years ago, I met Kagyu-san at an event in Germany and we had a conversation together. We knew each other since then, so when I heard he was looking for an illustrator for this title, I volunteered for it. To avoid spoilers, I cannot share in details but after reading the first volume of "BLADE & BASTARD," I cannot wait to read the next volume. It is a straight forward exciting title, and I sure hope to read till the final conclusion.

　Deep in the unexplored reaches of the dungeon, a corpse is discovered--one that shouldn't exist. After Iarumas is resurrected, his memories of life before death are gone, and he spends his days delving into the dungeon to retrieve the bodies of dead adventurers. Can they be revived as well? Or will God reduce them to piles of ash on the altar? Either way, Iarumas collects his finder's fee. And though his skills earn him some grudging respect, he's also scorned for this cold, utilitarian attitude. The living keep their distance--Iarumas consorts primarily with the dead. That is, until he meets Garbage, a feral young swordswoman who's the sole survivor of a massacred party. With Garbage by his side, Iarumas ventures deeper, scouring the dungeon for clues to his past, avoiding monsters, traps, and the inevitability of a permanent ashen demise. The first edition of the Japanese paperback version will include inserted voice codes. *Inserted Voice......A code included in certain first editions of DRE Novel paperback. Iarumas: Voied by Makoto Furukawa

Adventurer who lost his memories. As a request from the temple, he searches through the dungeon to recover the corpses of other fallen adventurers.

Garbage: Voiced by Tomori Kusunoki

An adventurer saved by Iarumas. Does not speak human language, who barks like a feral dog. Known as Garbage, as a leftover scraps of monsters.

Raraja : Voiced by Daiki Yamashita

A young thief. Accompanies Iarumas within the dungeon after peculiar circumstances.

Ainikki: Voiced by Saori Hayami

Elven nun who offered herself to the god. She shows compassion towards Iarmas and Garbage.
