In addition, a teaser visual art and a teaser trailer by so-bin, the original illustrator, will be released for the first time. Anime adaptation celebration comments from each of the creators will also be released.

An anime adaptation has been decided for BLADE & BASTARD, which is available in more than 10 languages and is supported by fans worldwide. 
BLADE & BASTARD is a dark fantasy novel series written by Kumo Kagyu (Goblin Slayer) and illustrated by so-bin (OVERLORD), a dungeon adventuring story set in the world of the legendary RPG "Wizardry".

[Synopsis]
The corpse of an adventurer who should never have existed is found deep in the dungeon that no one has ever set foot in. Iaurmas, a man who was revived but lost his memory, spends his days diving into the dungeon alone and recovering the bodies of adventurers. 
Other adventurers despise him, but take a shine to him because he is a man who demands a price, regardless of whether the recovered body is successfully revived or fails and turned into ashes. His ashen daily life begins to change when he meets a girl swordsman called Garbage, the sole survivor of a party that has been wiped.

Guess what! It's the anime! Yes, the anime of Wizardry! Ever since the OVA that was released a long time ago! Woohoo! Hurray Hurray!
I am so hyped up to hear this announcement, and I never would have thought I could be involved with Wizardry like this, and even reach a point of an anime adaptation. Twenty something years ago I was just a little kid that read the "Wizardry 4-koma Manga Oukoku" that never would have imagined being involved like this. Not even L'kbreth could have foreseen this. Since the days I set foot in Llylgamyn and read various Wizardry works made by other authors, it feels like I too have become an adventurer following my predecessor's footsteps. I am so grateful for this opportunity and support that many have given me. My full thanks goes to the Mad Overlord and the Great Wizard that created this fabulous game. 
And to those who are introduced to Wizardry for the first time through this anime, "Welcome to the world of Wizardry!"

Announcement of the anime adaptation! Although as I mentioned before, I'm not that knowledgeable with the Wizardry series. But after reading Kumo Kagyu's intriguing story and Makoto's captivating comic that depicts the lively drama of the characters, I'm too enjoying seeing many Wizardry fans noticing the small details of Wizardry in BLADE & BASTARD. I sure hope the anime too becomes just as interesting!
